Purifying Facial

When my therapist, Ivy, went for her maternity leave last July, I stopped going for my facial as I thought there wasn't any other therapists who were as good as her (imo, of course). It's been a year now, and I finally called up the spa at Raffles City, only to find out that Ivy has been posted to the latest boutique spa at TripleOne Somerset. So I laid my steps there this afternoon. Very modern, zen & chic!

I nearly dropped the Simply Her magazine I was reading when I heard that familiar cute little voice squealing my name! It was soo good to see her again, and I gave her a huge hug! Ivy is very very small and petite; I felt like a giant standing beside her. Mind you, I am only 1.6m tall. O.o

And this was a present for her 1-year old baby girl:

Got this great whimsical dress from http://www.fairyandpixie.com/Home.php. It's fantastic as the bow on the right is detachable! Which means if little girl-girl doesn't stop sucking the bow (ever encountered kids who love sucking their dresses' ribbons or buttons?) or somehow just irritates the kid, Mummy can safely just remove it without the dress looking impaired! Genius!

So anyway after the chitter chatter to catch up stuff with each other, Ivy assessed my skin condition first as usual and then adviced on the suitable facial that I should go for the day.

Purifying facial so it was. Prior to it, she warned me that there would be some redness on my face which will take about one to two weeks to diminish. Well, I needed to get rid of those stubborn clog-goosh, right? Goodness me, I endured what seemed like half an hour of exfoliation and extraction! Don't know why or how, but my pores were kind of congested. Especially at the nose area. Im very religious at cleansing, toning & moisturising........So hmm. Anyway, when it was finally over *phew*, Ivy did a very relaxing facial massage to allow proper blood circulation. One and a half hour later, she brought a mirror: well, it wasn't as bad as I had expected. Just some tiny pinkish dots mostly around my t-zone and chin. Unlike what i had imagined:

Hahaha!

H came to meet me for dinner afterwards. He said my face looked visibly even more clearer and fresher, and that the red marks are not super visible unless you stare hard at my face. -.-

Can't wait to see Ivy again for my next facial in two weeks' time! Hurray! (Psst: yes, this is part of my preparation to look glowy and radiant for that day. Hehehe.)
